The highly anticipated teasers of Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and Ram Charan's 'Dhruva' were released on October 11, on the eve of Dasara festival and both teasers have been extremely well received.
While Balayya's GPS teaser crossed the 1 million views in 20 hours, Dhruva pulled off the same feat a bit quicker, in 17 hours. Reaching 1 million views in less than 24 hours is no mean feat and we must appreciate the makers of both the films for cutting exemplary teasers and making the films with high standards.
However, both these teasers failed to beat the record set by NTR's 'Janatha Garage' teaser, which clocked 1 million views in just 6 hours. The festival mood has also shown considerable impact on the views.
Released on July 6, 2016 the JG teaser had powerful screen presence of NTR, sensible writing of Koratala Siva and terrific background music of Devi Sri. With such quality under its belt, the JG teaser accomplished the 1 million views feat in a record time, 6 hours and that record stays intact even after the release of two most awaited film teasers.
Failing to beat JG doesn't mean that the teasers of GPS and Dhruva underperformed. They still have become the 2nd and 3rd fastest teasers to reach 1 million views. Dhruva is set for release in December whereas GPS will make its way to silver screen for Sankranthi 2017.
The next big teasers to pose a threat to the record of JG are of Mahesh-Murugadoss project and Megastar's 'Khaidi No.150'.
