Following the disastrous summer in the form of Brahmotsavam, Mahesh's fans have pinned all their hopes on the star's next film in hotshot Tamil director AR Murugadoss'direction. While the film is all set to begin, the latest news about Rakul replacing the Bollywood bombshell Parineeti Chopra as the female lead came across as a sudden surprise.
After the names of several actresses did numerous rounds as Mahesh's love interest in the film, it was Parineeti Chopra who grabbed the project in the end. Even though the makers never went public about her inclusion in the cast, Parineeti was said to have clinched the project for a whopping 3 crore paycheck.
The reason why the makers shelled out such a huge remuneration was that they were looking for a fresh pairing opposite Mahesh. However, despite charging a bomb, Parineeti's unavailability for promotions didn't go down well with the makers.
Apparently, Parineeti told the makers that she will be busy shooting for her Bollywood project Takadum in Europe and that she can't make it to the promotions for Mahesh's project, leading to her exit from the film. Rakul, who felt bad for missing out on Brahmotsavam, must be thanking her lucky stars.
