Power Star Pawan Kalyan's most highly anticipated action entertainer Sardaar Gabbar Singh released on Ugadi and after a record shattering day 1, which witnessed several records set by Baahubali swept away in Sardaar storm, the film's collections nosedived from day 2.
Distributors from all areas bought the Sardaar's theatrical rights for astronomical rights and the film's pre-release business was hailed as second highest after Baahubali. With nearly 105 crores at stake, the film is now staring at almost 40-50% losses in most areas and needless to say, the distributors are spending sleepless nights.
According to the latest reports being published in the media, several distributors mortgaged their properties and emptied even the last penny in their pockets. They are now planning to meet the film's producers Sharrat Marar and Pawan Kalyan to demand a compensation for their losses.
Coincidentally, this is much alike the Rajinikanth Lingaa fiasco, where distributors met Rajini and the film's producer Rockline Venkatesh, demanding compensation. The Lingaa distributors even staged severe protests for nearly couple of months. Let's hope the Sardaar buyers episode will find an amicable solution.
