Sukumar's first production venture Kumari 21F that starred Raj Tarun and Heba Patel in lead roles will soon be remade in Kannada. Sriman, who worked as associate director at Annapurna Studios for few years is making directorial debut with the film.
Seven Channel Manickam Narayanan and Sri Lakshmi Jyoti Creations have acquired the Kannada remake rights. Yesteryear star composer Mani Sharma's son Sagar Mahathi will score music. KK Senthil's assistant Rami Reddy will handle camera, while Marthand K Venkatesh will work as editor. More details about the project will be unveiled soon.
Kumari 21F made on small budget was a runaway hit in Telugu. The movie raked around Rs 20 crores at box office. Apart from co-producing the youthful romantic comedy film, Sukumar had also penned script to introduce his protegee Palnati Surya Pratap as director. In fact, Kumari 21F is free make of a 2004 released French film titled 'Lila Says'.
