SS Rajamouli is undoubtedly the number one director of tollywood, who is ahead of others by a large mile. However, with the three successive hits, Koratala Siva seems to be posing a challenge to him.
With his recent release 'Janatha Garage' turning out to be the 3rd All Time biggest hit and his past two movies, Prabhas's 'Mirchi' and Mahesh Babu's 'Srimanthudu' becoming huge blockbusters, Koratala is closely following Rajamouli. At the moment, both Koratala and Rajamouli (Baahubali and Magadheera) have two movies each is in the list of All Time Top 10 highest Telugu grossers. In fact, Koratala Siva is a step ahead of Rajamouli with two of his films, JG and Srimanthudu in in All Time Top 3.
SS Rajamouli has scored two industry hits with 'Magadheera' and 'Baahubali' in the latter part of his career. Although his 'Simhadri' was a huge hit, he didn't have any other film in the list of top films until Magadheera happened. Moreover, Rajamouli doesn't have happy memories concerning 'Sye'.
In comparison, Koratala registered his name in the All Time Top 10 with his debut film 'Mirchi' itself. His next two films are now currently ranked 2nd and 3rd in All Time Top movies list. He has already confirmed his next film with Mahesh Babu and there are high chances of this film to be another blockbuster.
So far, Koratala has had better box office results over Rajamouli.
