Income-Tax Officials on Wednesday evening conducted a sudden raid on leading Telugu producer Sai Korrapati's office Vaarahi Chalana Chitram in Manikonda. A nine-member team has participated in the raid and the raid has been going on for over three hours from now (time of publishing).
Sai Korrapati has recently produced Jyo Achyutananda starring Nara Rohit, Naga Shourya and Regina Cassandra. While his previous film Manamantha (with Mohanlal) tanked without a trace, he is prepping up to produce Nandamuri Balakrishna's 101st film (Raithu) with Krishna Vamsi in association with 14 Reels Entertainment.
IT raids are not new in the Telugu film industry as the IT officials often raid the production houses ahead of the release of their films or after the success of their films. In the past, IT raids were conducted on 14 Reels (after Dookudu success), Bandla Ganesh (after Gabbar Singh success).
