With only few days left for the grand launch of Nandamuri Balakrishna's landmark 100th film, as the film is all set to be formally launched on April 8, on the eve of Ugadi day, the grapevine in tinsel town is that producers are having their second thoughts on this high-budget film. Touted to be a film on Gautamiputra Satakarni, the film will have direction by Krish.
Producers Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Anil Sunkara are very close to Balayya and like the actor immensely. In fact, one of their biggest hits is Legend which has Balayya in the lead. However, they're now in second thoughts as the mythological film needs to be pumped in Rs 70 Crore. Krish's last film Kanche failed to rake in profits although it managed to get decent reviews. This is said to be one of the worrying factors for 14 Reels. Given that they already suffered losses with Aagadu and One-Nenokkadine, the production house this time don't want to take any chances and wants to make films in controlled budget. Having said this, 14 Reels is still keen on producing the film until there're any last-minute crucial decisions.
Talk is that if 14 Reels backs out of the race, Krish's home banner First Frame Entertainment might join the production. However, nothing is revealed at the moment. One has to wait for an official announcement from Balakrishna's mouth.
